I saw a YouTube video of some guy cleaning the dryer vent out and saw how much lent he pulled out. I couldnt believe it which lead me to this brand I could not be happier. My laundry room is in the middle of a 1 story house with a 30 duct out the roof. I put electrical tape on all the extensions rods for this product so they wouldnt come undone in the duct if I accidentally put the drill in reverse. I filled up my little 1.5 gallon shop vac 3 times with lint. Ive lived in this house for 8 years and never knew I had to clean that out. This probably save me from a house fire.

My last dryer shook like a jet taking off until it finally broke. I bought a new one, but it kept saying it was blocked. I figured it was never the dryer, it was the blocked vent! My dryer vent is about 15-20 long and basically inaccessible so this tool is perfect! At first try I was just getting a few clumps of buildup. I kept hitting a block and figured the pipe must have a 90 turn or something. But I shoved a bit harder while turning and BOOOM it unblocked a huge clump.Tip: Dont give up! I ended up with a pile the size of a large cat. This is so satisfying and necessary! Now my clothes dry in normal time and no fire hazard.

This worked great in clearing my dryer exhaust vent. Using a drill provides the needed rotation, but be slow on the speed as its easy for the sections to get twisted into a coil. Beginning at the exhaust exit outside the house, I used all the sections which would reach the dryer itself. Because of the great length, I needed a second person: one to work drill, the other to feed the brush and segments into the vent. In a matter of minutes I retrieved enough lint to make a small toy. One note: because of the drill torque, be prepared to use two sets of pliers to separate adjacent sections.

I used this for my dryer vent pipe. luckily Im in a single story house and the pipe is straight down so I just removed the cover to the vent on the roof and ran this down it. Yes it worked and loosened all the debris in there. Very happy, straight forward and simple. I also took heed of other comments about bending it round corners, thats why I went from the roof down instead having to bend it into the hole up. Even though the pipe is straight is comes out in an area in my laundry room where I would have had to bed it due to the position.

I would have liked to give this cleaner 5 stars across the board but it has limitations as I am sure all of these tools would . At the dryer end of the vent the vent tube takes a sharp 90 degree bend about 18 inches down. The flexible rods couldnt negotiate that angle. On the outside it was a straight shot of about 15 feet. I was only able to clean 6-7 feet because my shop vac only had a 6 foot hose. The rods themselves were capable of cleaning a much longer vent. It worked well there as far as I could go. When I did run the dryer it did blow out more lint and stopped up the outside vent flaps so I cleared them of the lint. There is a really good video of one of these tools on You Tube that is worth watching. As I said before these tools are good but they have limitations.

This is a great tool. A must have tool to clean out the clothes dryer vents. In 10 years I only cleaned out the vent with a 4 to 5 inch narrow brush one time. By using this tool I was able to clean the entire vent system for the clothes dryer with ease. When all said and done I had a whole grocery bag full of lint that could have caused a fire. My advice and message to whoever. Clean your clothes dryer vents yearly. Dont neglect as I did and possibly burn your house down from the neglect.

I wasnt sure how this was going to go. So first i just put together a few sections and pushed it up the duct to see what i could get out. Lots of lint and clumps came out. I added more sections and kept at it until i hit a major blockagethe duct hadnt been cleaned in 18 years!. Then i worried that going any further would pack it in more but i grabbed the drill and went for it anyway. It totally cleared the entire duct. So satisfying when the dryer exhaust came blowing out of there full force! People complained about getting the sections apart and yes the get pretty tight but two pliers break them apart pretty easily.

Were no slouches about cleaning the lint filter after EVERY USE and also, weve pulled off the hose and vacuumed the vent a couple of times every year. We really didnt think wed find much of anything at all, but went ahead and purchased this kit anyway. We didnt use the drill, just connected the segments to the brush and manually inserted this until we reached as far as possible. We did remove a lot of fuzz, and were able to use a scope to examine the pipe afterwards, and this was worth the time and money. Were glad to have this on hand to keep the area clear. Good product!

I rate 5 stars for the cost of the item that paid for itself, durability to perform the task without breaking, and making a previously perform task easier with my valuable time saved. Used to clean dryer vent, and housing. Used to remove dust in A/C ducts. It Worked at an angle and did not break using a cordless drill. The price of a so-called special from professionals in my area is $65.00, which is a demo vs $700 - over a thousand dollars to get satisfactory duck cleaning results. This method is good for between professional 5 tt 10-year cleaning and it and just one use without breaking pays for itself in my opinion. I am very satisfied with the amount of dust removed, easy to use, reach is futher than my vaccum cleaner hose and the spinning brush made it effortless.

If youre contemplating this...that means you probably needed one years ago! LOL Ive had a shorter one Ive been using for 10 years and Ive always wondered if it was getting the job done because my dryer seems to take a longer than it used to time to dry big loads and I know dryer lint is a major a fire hazard! I saw this on a lightning deal and Im SO glad I did! Turns out my duct is probably 16 feet long or more!!! I couldnt believe how much came out! Tip: run the brush through from inside the house out a couple times, then run it outside in if you canmine is a 30 year old house and is accessible! If you get a plug, use the rod end without the brush and poke it around in there a bunch of times to break up the plug a bit then try again over and over. Worked for me! I got a MASSIVE amount of lint out! I couldnt believe it! Like a plastic grocery bag half full!!! ???? My dryer is working great again!

We couldnt figure out why hair dryer was taking so long to dry the clothes. And then I did some research and thought oh oh we better clean out the ducts. This was really easy to use with our battery operated drill. There was a lot of lint in our ducts! Our dryers working much better now. I do have one problem I wasnt able to get it removed from the drill. We have one where you have to twist the tip to loosen it. And since as the drill spins it tightens now its too tight for me to loosen, so maybe I would recommend using a drill that has a key for loosening and tightening.

I was a little skeptical about this product, I was worried it would break apart in the duct. Bought the 25-ft one and Ill tell you what its definitely worth the purchase easy to use especially if you have a drill. Just make sure youre spinning it in the direction that tightens it up constantly which would be the forward speed if youre in question of which direction that is hold one end press the drill and if it unscrews youre going in the wrong direction. Was getting an error message on my dryer and it turned out the ductwork was almost clogged. The clothes now dry quicker. Probably something you should do once a year at minimum. Someone would charge you $150 or more just to do this when its as easy as pie with this snake.

Stumbled across this and wanted to give it a try. I did notice that even though it says 30 feet it is really closer to 28.5 feet. They should include one more rod. I used it today on my dryer vent. I went from the outside and used the entire length. It worked great and was easy to add the additional lengths using the drill to do most of the work. Undoing the lengths was a little more cumbersome, with a keyless chuck I was not really able to use the drill to undo the lengths and had to resort to doing them all by hand. I turned my dryer on to air only so as I was cleaning the lint and dust continued to blow out. I am happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend this product.

This thing is awesome! Im OCD about cleaning out my dryer lint filter. Always have been. Lately I had to dry each load at least twice & with it being a fairly new dryer I was not happy. My husband would take our dryer vent hose & clean it out but still it wasnt drying. Then I started noticing a ��burning�� smell. My daughters boyfriend is a firefighter & he suggested I try one of these. I was shocked at the lint build up! Can you imagine how much it would have been if I wasnt a faithful lint cleaner?! Im just thanking God my house didnt burn down. Ill be using this baby at least once every 6 months. That pile stood over 2 inches tall and went out about 3 feet.

My washer and dryer are on the second floor. The gas dry vent is 16 feet and extend out the roof. I was able to use the Dryer brush to extend all 16 ftdesigned for 30 ft. I had to disassemble part of the aluminum vent due to multiple ankles. I attached the drill to the brush/bit extension and it worked perfectlysimilar concept of a drain rod/drill attachment device . After use, you so need a priers to unloosen and disassembler, which is good. The extension connection treads are tight, so no chance the extension will loosen when you use the drill. Non related to the product, you should take off the metal panel to your dryer. I found lots of lint behind the dyer panel. In the future, I will be cleaning my dryer vent annually.

I was very surprised and pleased to see how much lint was in there. I was able to push the first six rods through and then added two rods at a time using the drill. After I got in all but three rods I ran the drill as I backed everything back out. At least two handfuls of lint came out with the brush. Then I went inside and was able to insert the brush with two rods down the lint trap opening without the drill. I removed another handfulolder dryer of lint and with the lint filter still off, I started the dryer and went back outside. Id say another handful came out then too, only in smaller pieces. Definitely worth doing once a year and only takes 2 hours max. Your dryer and maybe will thank you for it!

We were happy with this one. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to clean my dryer vent and then went to town. It was super easy.
One mistake I made was attaching all of the pieces before starting. Just add pieces as you goas more is needed in the vent pipe so the length will be manageable. These seem to lock together REALLY well. This is good because you dont need to tape them to assure they dont come apart accidentally. Not so good if you make a mistake and add them all before inserting into the piperookie mistake. It also makes it difficult to dissemble and store for the next time we might need it.
The only thing that wouldve made it better would be if it came with an insert that holds the vacuum nozzle in place. I didnt look for that when shopping but saw it in YouTube videos. I was able to make this one work just fine without that accessory.

Just spent my Friday night cleaning my vent.Woohoo! Totally worth every penny. Items was easy to assemble and fit perfectly in my cordless drill. I used all the pieces, but one, before I couldnt push it up into the wall anymore. Im still amazed at what was pulled out. I had this done professionally a few years ago and didnt think it would be that dirty. I clean the lent trap after every use; but boy was I wrong! Do not hesitate to trust and try this product. Look at the photo attached. The photo is showing what I was able to get out of the vent tube after having my vent cleaned by a professional! Very easy to use. I was so surprised at how much came out when the brush started rotating and cleaning the inside of the vent tube. Dryer was showing a code that our vent was 80% obstructed. This fixed the issue. I plan on doing this at least once a year. Amazing product and compared to having someone come out to do this job, it is well worth the price.

Our ductwork goes from the side of our home to the center and also has a 90 degree angle. Yay not.
I was NOT convinced this product would work after my husband ordered it. I insisted we needed a professional company to properly clean it out. Well he proved me wrong. My husband and his father used this 8 times because thats how packed our system was. We hadnt cleaned it out in almost 10 years of being home owners(facepalm
My dryer now works properly! I was having to run it 2-3 times for one load to dry.
This product worked wonders. It may not do the job in one quick swipe if theres build up but I promise it works! And only a fraction of the cost to have a company clean it out. We also cleaned out my in laws vent system too.
